We are thrilled to announce the return of the Tribesman Triathlon on June 15th, 2025, following an incredible comeback in 2024 after a six-year hiatus. The 2024 event was a phenomenal success, with perfect weather and an electric atmosphere, and we’re gearing up for an even bigger and better race in 2025. We are also delighted to share that the 2025 Tribesman Triathlon is officially part of the Triathlon Ireland National Series, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome you back!

Tribesman Sprint Triathlon

If you’re joining us for the Triathlon Ireland National Series Tribesman Sprint Triathlon, get ready for an unforgettable race experience. The swim will once again take place in the stunning River Corrib, one of Europe’s shortest and fastest-flowing rivers. This means you can expect some record-breaking swim times!

The bike route features a fast, flat out-and-back course towards Moycullen, taking you along the Moycullen bypass and back to the University of Galway. It’s perfect for hitting top speeds and enjoying a smooth ride.

The race concludes with a scenic run through the picturesque grounds of the University of Galway and along the banks of the River Corrib – a route that’s as beautiful as it is inspiring. The Sprint Triathlon will also host the Intervarsity National Championships (Athletes must be enrolled in a recognised college in Ireland to qualify for this championship status) and you can choose to compete in both the National Series event and the National Championship event 

Aquabike National Championships

We’re also honoured to host the Aquabike National Championships, which will takeplace alongside the Tribesman Sprint Triathlon. Whether you're tackling the triathlon or competing in the Aquabike, this is an event not to be missed.

The Junior (16–18 years old) Aquabike National Championships will also run alongside the seniors' race, offering young athletes a chance to compete on the national stage
